Mrs. Margie June Murphy, 90, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016, at 3:30 p.m. after a brief illness. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2016, in the Chapel of Osborn. Officiating will be Rev. Andy Harris of Church of the Cross. Interment will follow at Forest Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Murphy was a native of Shreveport, LA and a former member of Shreveport Community Church.
Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Murphy; parents, Ida and Henry Harris; three sisters, Irene Lively, Madge Johnson and Lorraine Moore; and two brothers, T. L. Harris and Johnny Harris. She is survived by three sons, Gary Murphy and wife, Chris, Barry Murphy and wife, Marilyn and Daniel Murphy and wife, Tina; six grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Gary Murphy, Barry murphy, Daniel Murphy, Billy Hayes, Dean Arnold and Jerry Jones.
The family requests that memorials be made to The Oaks of Louisiana. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Oaks of Louisiana for their dedication and care of our love one.
