Vatican cardinal. He was a code-breaker, investigator, leader of the Squadrone Volante lobbyists at papal elections and 1667-1669 was Vatican head of government. He was a doctor of philosophy, theology and law and was created cardinal in 1654. He is known also for his platonic relationship with former Queen Christina of Sweden and for taking care of her estate after her death.
