Mike D. Busch, 65, of Janesville, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at UnityPoint-Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
Mike was born December 17, 1950, in Waverly, Iowa, the son of Mervin and Marie (Schmidt) Busch. He graduated from Janesville High School with the class of 1969. On January 30, 1971, he was united in marriage to Peg Morford in Janesville, Iowa. The couple would later divorce.
In the early 1980's he became a partner in the business he remained active in until the time of his passing, MR&R, in Janesville, Iowa. Mike was the trusted source for numerous manufacturing companies when it came to repairing industrial machines. He took great pride in his work and enjoyed each day.
Mike was known to be an avid collector of many different items. Rarely missing a sale or auction, he collected everything from records to automobiles to matchbox cars.
Mike is survived by his daughter; Penny (Matt) Klingelhutz of Plymouth, Minnesota, son; Brian (Amanda) Busch of Williamsburg, Iowa, four grandchildren; Taylor, Savanna, Devin and Nile Busch, three brothers; Richard (Mikki) Busch of Hartford, Connecticut, Robert (Darlene) Busch of Blue Eye, Missouri and Stephen (Kelley) Busch of Denver, Iowa, his step-mother; Marcella Busch, two step-sisters; Vicki (John) Schultz of Independence, Iowa and Debra (Gary) Briggs of Ankeny, Iowa.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4th, 2016, at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Waverly with Pastor Corey Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakland Cemetery in Janesville. Visitation will be held from 12:00 until service time at the funeral home on Sunday.
