Almeta Charlene Bonness passed away Friday, November 18, 2016, at her residence in Valley View at the age of eighty. She was born September 23, 1936 in Cold Springs, Oklahoma, the daughter of Henry and Viola (Morgan) Hayslip. Almeta had been employed at a house parent for the Denton State School.

Funeral Services are set for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26th, at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville. Interment will be Monday at 2:00 p.m. in Mountain Park Cemetery, Mountain Park, Oklahoma.

Survivors include five sons, Cecil McCammond of California, Larry McCammond of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, John Bonness of Swansea, Ilinois, Richard Bonness of Marion, Ohio and Lawrence Bonness of Tennessee; three daughters, Pamela Hill of Seagoville, Texas, Rachelle Corley of Tampa St. Pete, Florida and Thelma Thomas of Gallion, Ohio; twenty-six grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren and sister, Brenda LaBeth of Tipton, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Charles Bonness; two sons, Howard Bonness and David Bonness; two brothers and one sister.
