DOB and DOD are barely legible at this point and this grave was overlooked during prior surveys. I am reasonably sure I am reading the years correctly, but unsure of the month and day of each.
Note the headstone is just to the left of his sister, Zella C. Sills (Find A Grave Memorial# 51074661), who has a very similar inscription on her tombstone.
Rockdale newspaper accounts indicate that G. W. Sills was a local farmer but relocated to Rosebud, TX (Falls County).
Jeff Sills is not listed in either the 1880 or 1900 census, so it matches that he was born and died between these dates. Further, since his sister Pearl (1888-1896) was buried in Robertson County, it can be assumed that Jeff died prior to the family moving to the Falls county / Robertson county area.
