Rex M. Rice, age 85, of Delphos, Kansas died Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Nicol Home, Glasco, KS. He was born July 21, 1931 in Cloud County, KS to Paul and Bernice (Bellows) Rice.   


Rex was a 1949 graduate of Delphos High School. He married Etoys Hoesli on August 23, 1950. He worked for the U.S.D.A. and did construction work. Rex was also a longtime farmer in Cloud County. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Delphos.


Preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Phyllis Rice.


Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Etoys Rice, Glasco, KS; sons Steven (Marilee) Rice, Lenexa, KS; Bruce (Susan) Rice, Salina, KS; David (Lori) Rice, Glasco, KS; Brian (Janna) Rice, Kingman, KS; and Curtis (Violet) Rice, Neosho, MO; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.


Funeral service at the First Presbyterian Church, Delphos, KS. Burial in Bethel Cemetery. Visitation at Wilson Family Funeral Home, Minneapolis, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials to First Presbyterian Church or Meadowlark Hospice.
