A native of Cleveland County, she was a daughter to the late Thomas William Poston and Bessie Kansas Greene Poston and wife to the late John Lester Bridges.
She was a homemaker and a charter member of Polkville Baptist Church and was the church's oldest living member. She was also an avid fan of the Atlanta Braves.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers; five sisters; a granddaughter, Karen Stroud; and son-in-law, Dewey Gene Clark.
