MARIETTA Services for Sara Jo Hopkins, 89, will be at 2 p.m. today, Jan. 5, 2007, at Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Rutherford officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery.

Born on April 3, 1917, in Marietta, to Will and Beulah Vivian Hickman Richards, she died on Jan. 3, 2007, at the Ardmore hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Hopkins, on April 6, 1975, and her parents.

She moved to Marietta in 1974 from Wichita Falls, Texas, where she taught school from 1953 to 1974. She taught at Turner from 1974 until she retired in 1984. She was very involved in PTA, was a member of two bridge clubs, and enjoyed and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. In her younger years she enjoyed entertaining, was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Church, and Mahota Memorial while in Marietta.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Richie and Morton Hatch, Owasso; grandchildren, Michelle Miller, John Robert Hatch, Jessica and Ken Harlan, Cassie Hatch, Ryan Hatch and fianc, Amber, Andrew and Mandy Hatch and Jean Ann Hatch; great-grandchildren, Sarah Harlan and Valerie Miller.

Bearers will be Morton Hatch, John Robert Hatch, Ryan Hatch, and Andrew Hatch.
