Obituary from POST REGISTER (IDAHO FALLS, ID) - 24 NOVEMBER 2004:
POCATELLO -- Doyle J. Ard, 69, of Pocatello, died November 20, 2004, at a local care center following an illness.
He was born January 12, 1935, in Driggs, Idaho, to Joseph Napoleon and Myrtle Westover Ard. He served in the Army National Guard.

He married Sharon Hamblin, and they were later divorced. On October 13, 1978, he married Carol Ann Wood in Elko, Nevada. He owned and operated a Conoco Station in Driggs and drove a school bus for 16 years. He served as a firefighter/EMT and was a member of the Driggs City Council.

He enjoyed yard work, bowling, skiing, and camping. Doyle was a very devoted husband.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Gary Ard, Lisa (Mike) Harrison, Jeff (Alicia) Winegar, and Kimberly (Derek) Wright, all of Pocatello; Jack (Kathrine) Ard and Teresa Ard, both of Salt Lake City; Steven (Mary Ann) Ard of Vancouver, Washington; and Julie (Bob) Holley of Visalia, California; siblings, Cleon Ard of Kearns, Utah; Wanda McKinley of Rexburg; Don Ard of Rigby; Eva Furniss, and Nelda Ricks, both of Driggs; and Anona Darley of Wellsville, Utah; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lysle Ard; and a sister, Nadine Wilding.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, in the Driggs LDS Stake Center with Ron Derrick officiating. The family will visit with friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Downard Hansen Funeral Home, 241 N. Garfield in Pocatello, and for one hour before services Wednesday at the church in Driggs. Burial will be in Cache Clawson Cemetery near Tetonia.
