The photograph of John and Sarah Duvall Limes appeared in the Columbus Dispatch following their Golden Anniversary which would have been on January 1, 1923.
The description states they were residing at 2364 Burwell Avenue at the time of their anniversary. It also states that the couple had lived in Columbus since 1888. "They have three sons and two daughters, all now living and married; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Among the many gifts were more than a hundred dollars in gold." More than 60 guests helped them celebrate their 50th anniversary.
Only a few days later, on January 16, 1923, John Limes died from a stroke.
His death certificate shows Wesley Limes as his father and Martha Miller as his mother.
