Joan Mowery Carpenter, 92, of Lancaster passed away Friday, February 19, 2021 at Crestview Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing.
She was born November 13, 1928 to the late Ernest M. and Dorothy (Persinger) Mowery.
Joan was the youngest of 6 children. She worked as an Avon Sales Representative until she retired in 2001. Joan was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church.
Joan is survived by her son, Dennis J. (Eileen) Carpenter of Florida; 3 grandchildren, April D., Amy M. and Dorothy R. Carpenter; great grandchildren, Dakota, Zander, Lilitu, Lykinia, Gavin, and Jocelyn; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David Kenneth Carpenter; brothers, Ernest Mowery Jr and Forrest Wayne Mowery; sisters, Marilyn L. Bell, June L. Webb, and Rita B. Wienecke.
Funeral service will be 1:00PM Thursday March 4, 2021 at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Phillip Manning officiating.
Interment will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
