PRESTON—Mrs. Rose Catherine Beechey, 65, well-known Preston resident, died last night in St. Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, following a lengthy illness. A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Geier, of Teeswater, she came to Preston in 1929, where she and her late husband, opened a dairy business, now the Hillcrest Dairy. She continued the business after her husband's death in 1933, retiring about three years ago. She was a member of St. Clement's RC Church, the Catholic Women's League, the Altar Society and the League of Sacred Heart. Her husband was Emil Beechey of Preston. Survivors include seven sons, John of Bamberg; Roy of Tillsonburg; Isadore, Cyril, Charles, Vincent and Ralph, all of Preston; three daughters, Dolores at home, Mrs, John (Marcella) Flannery of Preston, Mrs. Roy (Doreen) Wheeler of Kitchener; one brother George Geier of Preston and one sister, Mrs. Al Shoemaker or Kitchener. There are 13 grandchildren. The body will rest at the residence, 819 Duke St. Preston, until Friday morning when requiem high mass will be celebrated at St Clement's RC Church here at 10 a.m., with burial at St. Clement's RC Cemetery, Preston. Rev. P. J. Meyer and Rev. F. J. Hawkins of Preston will officiate. Funeral arrangements were made by Maurice J, O'Brien Funeral Residence.
