Melvin Bowen, 87, went home to his Heavenly Father on Jan. 2, 2007. He was born Feb. 26, 1919 in Beckham County, OK to James Thomas and Pearl Lorene Bowen.
Survived by his wife of 50 yrs., Lola; son James Bowen and wife Debbie, OKC; daughters Patie Driskill, St. Louis, MO, and Darlene Southard, OKC; 3 grandchildren, Kristy Mayhall, Nick Bowen, and James Southard; 2 great-grandsons, Brandon Oakes and Parker Bowen, with 2 more on the way.
Melvin was a WWII Navy Vet and a 32nd degree Mason. A retired auto mechanic, he loved to fish and be with his family.
Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
