Felix Michael Johnson age 76, of Plainview, passed away Friday, November 18, 2016 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m.,Wednesday, November 23, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church in Quitaque. Interment to follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Quitauqe. Arrangements are under the care of Moore Rose Funeral Home.

Felix was born on June 25, 1940 the second son of Alton and Amelia Johnson of Quitaque, Tx. Felix graduated from Quitaque High School. He went to and graduated from West Texas State University before being drafted into the Army. He served at Ft. Hood, Texas where he played on the Ft. Hood football team. After the service he came back to Quitaque to help his mother at the lumber yard after his father died. After a debilitating accident in 1969 he went to Amarillo and worked for the lumber yard for many years. He ended up working for Goodwill of Amarillo for many more years before moving back to Quitaque for a year. He then lived in a nursing home before his death.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Amelia Johnson.
Felix is survived by his brothers John Lynn and wife Janet Johnson of Corpus Christi, Jack and Edwina Johnson of Quitaque; a sister, Martha Jill Johnson of Lubbock; his nephew John, 3 nieces; Jennifer, Krista and Heather. He also had 8 great nephews and nieces.
The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church in Quitaque, P.O. Box 428, Quitaque, Texas 79255
