He was born in Greaney and moved to Duluth after World War II. He was employed at Greysolon Motors and Odberg-Ryan Lincoln-Mercury for 29 years. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the European Theater from Normandy to Nuremberg.
He was a member of VFW Post 137, National Rifle Association and UAW Local 241. He was a charter member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus.
Louis is survived by his wife, Angie; sons: Roger (Pat) and Jon (Nancy); daughters: Judy Okstad and Vickie (Ron) Dobosenski; a brother, Henry; sisters Mary, Helen, Sophie and Alice; and grandchildren Louis, Kevin, Cassandra, Nikki and Taner.
