Mrs. Rena May McCleaf, 72, wife of E Lance McCleaf, Fairfield R1, died at the Washington County hospital, Hagerstown at 5:55 Friday afternoon.
She had been admitted to the hospital in poor condition after her involvement in an auto collision of
Route 16, two and a half miles east of Blue Ridge Summit at 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
…A native and lifelong resident of Adams County she was the daughter of the late William Watson and Savilla Byers Watson. In addition to her husband she is survived by six children, Mrs. Mae V Solomon, Silver Spring Md.; Mrs. Florence M William, Fairfax, Va.; Miss Betty L McCleaf, Baltimore;
Emmert L McCleaf Jr., at home; Mrs. Dorothy Jean Sollengberger, Greencastle R3, and
Mrs. R Nona Jacobs, Fairfield R2, and 12 grandchildren. She was a member Brethren in Christ Church of Iron Springs.
She and her husband had operated a fruit farm in Hamiltonban township for a number of years.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:00 form the Wilson Funeral Home in Fairfield with her pastor the Rev. Amos L Kipe and the Rev. James J Lesher her former pastor officiating. Interment will be in Fairfield Union Cemetery.
