Obituary:
The entire community was as shocked Tuesday morning when it learned that Mrs. A. O. Wiste had passed away after an illness of only three days. Mabel Johnson Wiste was born at Adams, Minn., on October 12, 1891. She was baptized by Rev. G. M. Eggen and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith by Rev. Wm. Rasmussen at the age of fourteen years. On September 10, 1913 she was united in marriage to Andrew O. Wiste and since then has resided on the farm home three miles west of Adams. To this union were born two children, Clifford, age 17 and Orrin, age thirteen.

For the last nine years she has suffered patiently from diabetes and without complaining. She fought it bravely. On the Saturday before her death she was stricken with influenza which quickly developed into pneumonia. On Monday evening she was taken to the Colonial Hospital in Rochester where everything possible was done for her that loving hands and human power could do. However our ways are not God's, and death came to relieve all her sufferings at nine o'clock Tuesday morning at the age of forty one years, two months and twenty-one days. Besides her husband and two boys she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. N. C. Johnson, four brothers: John of Minneapolis; Ed of Stewartville, Edwin and Wallace of Adams; and five sisters: Mrs. Ida Knutson of Hannah, N. Dakota who was unable to attend the funeral; Nora Torgerson of Adams, Alma of Fargo, N. Dakota, Orphie Lovering of Minneapolis. She also leaves a host of relatives and friends who with the family grieve her sudden passing away.

The Little Cedar Lutheran Church of which she was a life-long member was filled to its utmost capacity Friday afternoon for the funeral services which were conducted by Rev. A. Breivik, who spoke words of comfort to the grief-stricken family. Mrs. Albert Knutson and Mrs. Ernest Anderson sang two beautiful duets "I'm a Pilgrim" and "Under His Wings."

Mabel, as she was affectionately called by all who knew her was of a cheerful disposition, always patient and non-complaining in spite of the ailment she was forced to bear.

As a thoughtful daughter, a loving sister, a faithful and devoted wife and mother she will be greatly missed. But their loss is her gain and she leaves a memory that will be a beautiful thing to all those with whom she came in contact.
