According to the "Commemorative Biographical Record of Washington County, Pennsylvania", by J.H. Beers and Co., published in 1893, Joseph Adams and Martha Moore traveled from Ireland on the same ship, but didn't meet until after arriving in the US. They married in 1793, and had eight children:
- James Adams (1798-bef 1850)
- Margaret Adams Mustard (1799-1880)
- Robert Adams (1803-1886)
- Martha Adams Van Kirk (1805-1883)
- William Frederick Adams (1807-1882)
- John Quincy Adams Sr. (1809-1881)
- Mary Adams Dickerson (1811-1851)
- Joseph Adams (1814-1898)
According to this same source, Joseph and Martha were buried in "the cemetery of Upper Buffalo, Washington County, Pennsylvania", which I have assumed to be the Upper Buffalo (Presbyterian) Church Cemetery.
