WILLIAM PAULO NIAU, 79, of Honolulu, died Sept. 25, 2002. A range officer at the Koko Head Rifle Range.

Survived by sons, Ronald and Landis-Loy; daughters, Leilani Namahoe, Haunani Lawther and Lu-Ann Krienke; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sisters, Hannah Kaili and Luita Tachikawa.

Visitation 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Kahala Ward; service 10:30 a.m.; burial 2 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Arrangements by Borthwick Mortuary.
