Alma Jean Albertson passed from this life on Friday, Nov. 11, 2016. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home. Jean was born Jan. 22, 1929, to Jerry Emerson and Venie Lu Upchurch of Paris, Texas. Jean was a devoted sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother. Married in 1946 and becoming a mother in 1947 and again in 1950, her family moved to Fort Worth in 1953. Here she worked at the Acushnet raw rubber manufacturer, and then on the production floor of R-Tec for 10 years until her retirement in 1992. Thereafter she enjoyed participation in the senior activities of Fort Worth Baptist Church, and the RV clubs, The Happy Gadabouts and the Holiday Ramblers. Her greatest joy was becoming great-grandmother to five boys and one girl. She is greeted in heaven by 11 brothers and sisters; her daughter, Carol Jean Albertson; and the love her life, Oliver Houston Albertson. Married on May 4, 1946, they shared 57 years together, and she waited 12 years to be reunited. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Judy McNutt of Fort Worth; her granddaughter, Missy Masters and husband, Scott; her great-grandchildren, Jordan, Ethan and Mason Masters of Houston; granddaughter, Mindy Riddle and husband, Seth; her great-grandchildren, Oliver, Cameron and Benjamin Riddle of Watauga; and her brother, Wayne Upchurch and his wife, Norma, of Paris, Texas. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews across North Texas.
