Brown Joshua Coggeshall Brown, 78, resident of the Maxwell section for the last year and a half, died at 6:40 last evening in Colusa Memorial Hospital where he has been a patient for two weeks. He was born in Middletown, Rhode Island, February 19, 1866. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Goldie Sather and Mrs. Mabel Miller of Auburn, Mrs. Laura Powell of Maxwell and a son, William Brown, of Paskenta. Twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren also survive. Brown was a member of Rhode Island Lodge No. 12, I.O.O.F., of Newport, and also a member of Weenat Shassitt Tribe Improved Order of Redman, Hunting Grounds of Newport. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock tomorrow morning at the graveside in Grindstone Cemetery, near Elk Creek, Glenn County, under the direction of J. D.
