Mrs. Mary Emily Edwards, 94, of RR 3, Avon, mother and grandmother of 94 living descendants, died Saturday at Sanders Hospital in Avon.
A former resident of Peoria for about 25 years, Mrs. Edwards was born at Mason City Sept. 6, 1864, a daughter of John and Persina Wilcox Holzsclaw. She first was married in 1881 at Ashland to Lincoln Greenwood, who died at Atterberry in 1904. Later she was married to Monroe Edwards at Havana in 1911, who died there in 1921.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Harrison Jones of Towanda, Mrs. Vera Downs of Peoria and Mrs. Neva Wynkoop of Avon; and one son, Robert L. Greenwood of Peoria.
Two children, two brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Burial will be in Swan Lake cemetery.
