∼Archie E. Finley, age 87, of Wabasha, formerly of Chatfield, died early Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. Elizabeth’s Nursing Home in Wabasha. He was born November 8, 1926 in Chatfield, the son of Walter and Winnifred (Markham) Finley. He served in the U.S. Army from 1947-1950. Upon his discharge he returned to the Chatfield area and worked for Crenlo in Rochester for 12 years as a welder. He then farmed for several years in the Chatfield area. He later worked for Griffin Construction, Lakeside Packing and Willard Drysdale. He married Ruby Buck of Lanesboro and they later divorced. He married Karen (Rozendal) Blood July 3, 1981 in Chatfield.

Archie is survived by his wife, Karen Finley, Wabasha, MN; children, Susan (Mike) Schild, Chatfield, MN, Julie Doucette, Chatfield, MN, Mark Finley, Stewartville, MN Wanda (Wayne) Goldsmith, Chatfield, MN, Jeff Finley, Chatfield, MN, Merry Finley, Iowa, Tina Martina, Elgin, MN; step-daughters, Kim Blood, Wabasha, MN, Kris Ferguson, Kellogg, MN, Karrie (Scott) Ellingson, Lanesboro, MN, Kecia (Chad) Sorensen, Wabasha, MN; 19 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
