BECK, Henry Charles, Sr. “Hank”, beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Gillespie), passed away November 7, 2016 at the age of 87. Devoted father of Mike Beck, Teri Lattarulo, Mary Jo (Mike) Taulbee, Bill Beck, Roseanne (Mark) Blagg, Tina (Chris) Jones, Toni (Scott) Evans, Julie Rahe, Lisa (Dan) Lehane, Bobbi Gibson and step-children Kim Hughes, Doug (Michelle) Stephens; 39 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, James Patrick of Panama City, Florida and daughter-in-law Vickie Beck. Preceded in death by his parents Andrew Paul and Rose Ella Beck (nee Daugherty), stepmother Angie Beck, brother Pete, sister Cecilia, best pal and brother-in-law, George Schwoeppe, son Henry Charles, Jr. and grandson Stephen Blagg. Hank served honorably in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He became a long-time resident of Deer Park, and was fondly known by many as “Chef” due to his passion: cooking great food. He was head chef at many local private clubs over his career retiring from Losantiville Country Club. Visitation will be Friday, November 11, 2016 from 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM at Vorhis & Ryan Funeral Home, 5501 Montgomery Rd., Norwood, OH 45212. Celebration of Life will be at the funeral home on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Ohio Foundation, 7625 Camargo Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45243.
