Mamie Belle Knutson, age 92 years and 9 months, of Adams Community Health Center, Adams, Minn., was born June 27, 1893, at Adams. She was the daughter of Ben and Nettie Knutson.
She attended District School in Adams and was a former resident of Elkton (1920-1936) and Austin (1936-1952). She was employed as a clerk at the general store in Elkton, West Dry Goods and Wallace's in Austin.
Miss Knutson died March 29, 1986, at the Adams Health Care Center.
She is survived by two sisters, Ella Knutson, Minneapolis; Mrs. Harriet Knoll, Sun City, Ariz., nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, seven sisters.
Funeral service was held April 2, 1986, at Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams, Pastor Allen Gunderson officiating. Jan Johnson was soloist and Charlotte Anderson, organist. Pallbearers were Daniel Knutson, Paul Wood, James Wood, Orville Knutson, Martin Peterson, Darrell Gordon. Interment was in the Adams Cemetery with Adams Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mamie was born June 27, 1893, to Ben and Nettie Knutson. She was raised in a family of four brothers and eight sisters and lived on the farm where Mr. and Mrs. Roy Gordon now live.
Mamie worked as a salesperson most of her life. This included the Swenson store in Elkton, a department store in Osage, and at Wallaces in Austin.
Upon retirement, she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Alma Wood, in Adams. She became a resident of the Adams Health Care Center in May 1979.
Her favorite hymn is "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder."
