Peter F. Hanson died at St. Olaf hospital, Austin, early Wednesday morning after an illness of three weeks. Pneumonia with other complications caused his death. The deceased was born in Mower county thirty-eight years ago and has made his home in this vicinity practically all of his life. He owned a farm two miles east of Elkton where he has resided the past few years. His wife and five children survive him. The body was taken to Adams from Austin Wednesday and funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Little Cedar Lutheran church, Rev. Myhre having charge of the services.
Born in Marshall Township. Confirmed at Little Cedar in 1891.

Peter and Ella Hanson had five children, Matie, Herbert, Gerald, Pearl and Earl. all have passed away except Matie and Herbert.
Peter died in 1914 leaving Ella with five small children, She rented the farm and moved to Taopi, Minn. where she was janitor in the Taopi School. While there little son, Earl, died from polio. In 1920 they moved back to the farm in Clayton Township and with the help of Herbert and Gerald started farming again.
