He was born on February 22, 1945 in Coleman, OK to William and Opal (Speaks) Horath. He was an Oklahoma Highway Patrolman and Rancher by trade and he owned and operated the Flying H Beef Masters Ranch. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years during the Vietnam period. He was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by children, Melanie Thomsen and husband, Todd of Ada, Nikki Parson and husband, Jim of Tulsa and Jarrod Horath and wife, Adria of Beggs; grandchildren, Menée, Aneli, Tovan, Tyde (Tal), Lydia, Jonathan, Timothy, Sarah and Joseph; and brother, Ronnie (Pat) Horath and wife, Kathy of Bixby.
He is preceded in death by parents, John William (Bill) and Opal Horath,sisters Wanda Perkins, Margaret Faulkner, brothers Donnie Ray and Jerry Lee Horath.
