Mrs. Schneider was born in Germany and emigrated to the United states in the late 1890's. She was the widow of Christian, who died in 1930. She had been a resident of St. Elizabeth's Hospital for 37 years. She died in the fire of 7 January, 1950 and was one of the people whose remains were never recovered.
She was survived by 3 sons and one daughter.
