RALLS (Special) - Memorial services for Capt. Lynn Ragle Huddleston, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Huddleston of Ralls, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church.

Memorial graveside services will be at the Ralls Cemetery.

Capt. Huddleston, a 1960 graduate of Ralls High School and 1966 graduate of Texas Tech University, was reported missing in action while on a mission over Southeast Asia in September, 1967.

His case was reviewed one year later, and he was promoted to captain, although listed as MIA by the Pentagon. He was reclassified as KIA (killed in action) on Jan. 24, 1974.

Capt. Huddleston was one of three South Plains MIAs honored with a plaque dedicated beside a "freedom tree " near the entrance to South Plains Mall in Lubbock on Oct. 22, 1973.

He was born Dec. 21, 1941, and married the former Jannie Stark of El Paso on June 1, 1963. their daughter, Lujean Lynn was born Sept. 30, 1965.

Capt., Huddleston's brother, Lauren, lives in Los Angeles, Calif. His daughter lives in Austin with her mother, Mrs. Howard Kreisner.

His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Ragle of Ralls and Mrs. Wade Huddleston of Springtown, Tex.

While attending Texas Tech, where he earned his commission as a second lieutenant through U.S. Army ROTC, he was a member of Alpha Phi Omega fraternity.

His Army career began May 11, 1966, at Ft. Eustis, Va. He progressed through the ranks and received his wings from the U.S. Army Aviation School at Ft. Ruckner, Ala., on June 6, 1967.

Twenty days later he was in the Tay Ninh Province, South Vietnam. In less than three months, he was missing.
