DAVENPORT -- Dale V. Litzenberger, Davenport, passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002, at Crest Health Center, Davenport. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary. Cremation will follow the service. Burial will be at a later date at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. He was born June 18, 1920, in Davenport, the son of Joseph and Florence (MacNamara) Litzenberger. He first married Elizabeth Lawton. She preceded him in death in 1977. He later married Patricia Beenck, who preceded him in death in 2002. Mr. Litzenberger served as a lieutenant in the Navy during World War II. He was a commercial artist, having studied under Grant Wood. Mr. Litzenberger was the co-owner of Warren and Litzenberger Advertising Agency in Davenport. The business later was known as Warren, Andersen, Litzenberger and Teague. After retirement, he enjoyed painting and traveling with his wife. Memorials may be made to ALS Association. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Jolynne Litzenberger, Chicago; stepdaughter, Nancy Beenck, Walcott, Iowa; stepson, Thomas Beenck, Pollachassee, Fla.; and granddaughter, Ruth Litzenberger.
