OBITUARY-
ADAMS -- Richard L. Johnson, 72, of Charles City, Iowa, formerly of the Adams area, died Thursday (May 18, 1995) at Riverside Chautauqua Nursing Home in Charles City.

Born March 26, 1923, in Mower County, he graduated from Adams High School in 1941 and was a longtime member of Little Cedar Lutheran Church. He married Ruth Stern in 1950 at Little Cedar Lutheran Church and they were later divorced. Mr. Johnson farmed in the Adams area, was a school bus driver for 20 years, and was an inspector for White Farm Equipment from 1965 until his retirement in 1978.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharon (Mrs. Larry) Enabnit of Rockford, Iowa, and Joann Johnson of Renton, Wash.; two sons, Charles of Prole, Iowa, and Brian of Denver, Iowa; and five grandchildren. A sister and a brother preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams, with the Rev. Allen Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at the Adams Funeral Home in Adams and an hour before the service Saturday at the church.
