New Hampton Tribune, December 7, 1939:
Anfind Amble, son of Nils and Christi Amble, was born at Sogn, Norway, on April 29, 1865, the eldest of eight children.

At the age of one year, he with his parents, immigrated to America and settled on a farm near Saude. Here he grew to young manhood.

For nearly fifty years he resided in the Adams, Minnesota, community where he was engaged in carpentry and farming.

In 1896 he was married to Sigrid Tiegen at the "Six Mile Grove" parsonage by the Rev. Mueller Eggen. He is survived by his wife and four children. Two children, Nordeen and Alma, died in infancy. The living children are Jesse of Rose Creek, Minnesota, Mrs. Wm. Nelson (Cora) of Wadena, Iowa, Dorothy of Austin, Minnesota, and Earl at home. He also leaves one brother, Henry of Sarles, No. Dak., and two sisters, Mrs. Dora Sime of Minneapolis and Mrs. Christine Tonjum of Chicago. One sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Oleson, and three brothers, Nels, martin and Carl, preceded him in death.

There are five grandchildren in whom he found great joy and happiness: Janice, William and Donald Nelson, Adys and David Amble.

Mr. Amble will be greatly missed by his family and a large number of relatives and friends who knew him as a kind neighbor and a true friend, one who was always ready to lend a helping hand.

For the past two years he has been in failing health. He died at his home on November 25 at 11:15 p.m.

Funeral services were held November 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the Little Cedar Lutheran church at Adams. Rev. Alfred Breivick officiating.
