From the Austin Daily Herald, December 8, 1985:

Cora N. Nelson, 87, a resident of St. Mark's Lutheran Home, Austin, was born Jan. 18, 1898, at Adams, Minn. She was the daughter of Anfind and Sarah Amble.

She lived in Wadena and Osage, Iowa, and Austin. She attended Adams Grade School, Austin High School and Mankato State Teachers College.

On June 28, 1922, she was married to Franz William Nelson at Adams, Minn. She was a member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and St. Marks' Craft Guild prior to her residence there.

Mrs. Nelson died Nov. 27, 1985, at 6 a.m., at St. Mark's Lutheran Home.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Joseph H. Paxman, MD, Hayward, Calif.; daughters in-law, Darlene Nelson, Austin; Elizabeth Nelson Waddell, Oak Creek, Wis.; brother-in-law, Anton Nelson; sisters in-law, Emma Holcomb, Swea City, Iowa; Anna Amble Tufte, Waterloo, Iowa; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sons, William, Donald, and infant son Kermit.

Funeral service was held Nov. 30, 1985, at 1:30 p.m. at Worlein Funeral Home, Pastor Mikkelson officiating. Soloist was Howard Borchardt and Dagney Dewey, organist. Pallbearers were grandsons, Terry Nelson, Jon Nelson, Michael Nelson, Todd Nelson; great-grandson, David Soukup; Clifford Weness. Interment was in Grandview Memorial Gardens. Worlein Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
