A memorial service to celebrate the life of Rebecca Ann "Becky" Crawford is scheduled for Sunday, November 6th, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at Rose Park Baptist Church under the direction of Rev. B.J. Maddox of Rose Park Baptist Church assisted by Rev. David Permenter of Beulah Baptist Church. An informal potluck gathering will follow in the social hall at the church. Friends and family are welcome to attend and celebrate Becky's life.

Becky Crawford died unexpectedly in Shreveport, Louisiana on November 2, 2016 at the age of 68. She is survived by sisters Doniece Smith of San Augustine, Texas; Nayona Millard of Nacogdoches, Texas; Edna Wheless of Logansport, Louisiana; and Julia Walker of Bossier City, Louisiana, plus a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, Darlene Pude Crawford, her life-long partner and friend. She also leaves her devoted forever fur-baby, Bailey, a Golden Retriever.

Born October 23, 1948 in San Augustine, Texas to Rev. and Mrs. Linnis D. Crawford, Becky graduated from Logansport High School, where she played basketball making All-State her senior year. She attended Louisiana Tech University briefly, but left to travel with the Louisiana Moral and Civic Foundation Singers. She blessed many lives with her amazing alto voice. Becky toured with the group and traveled throughout the state performing patriotic musicals at schools during the day and local churches at night.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Becky's name and in her honor to the Benevolent Program at Rose Park Baptist Church 5560 Buncombe Rd, Shreveport, Louisiana 71129
