Nikki Jo Turner was born May 21, 1951 in the capital city of Topeka, Kansas to Ernest and Maxine Turner. She was the third youngest of six children, two sons and four daughters. Nikki was preceded in death by her father and mother, respectively. She was also preceded in death by her first daughter, Tracey Nicole Turner.

After moving from Topeka in 1959, Nikki attended school in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where she graduated from Northeast High School. She then worked for her Alma mater as an assistant in the principal's office. Later, she spent time working for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and also met her first husband, the late Lee Z. Hearne. After dating for nearly seven years, they married in 1976, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma. During her time in Tulsa, she worked for McDonnell Douglass Aircraft Company, with her leadership talents allowing her to quickly climb the ranks to floor supervisor. While excelling in her career, she also worked from home as a graphic artist and typesetter. Nikki had an amazing eye for detail and design and continued this love and passion until she departed from this world.

After moving back to Oklahoma City with her children in 1996, Nikki met and married Rickey L. Harris of Oklahoma City, OK while working at York International, Inc. Nikki became heavily involved with the city community, opening her own print shop in 2006, Joy & Trinity Printing, LLC, where she designed and printed thousands of print pieces for local businesses in the metropolitan area. Her business kept alive for five years until her health began to fail her.
