Funeral: 2 p.m., Saturday, October 27, 2012, at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: Acton Cemetery. Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Etta was born July 9, 1943, in Fort Worth, to Henry and Gladys Fitgerald Childs. She married Henry Wayne Athey in 1960 in Fort Worth. She was the owner/operator of Monagrams by Etta. She was an acdtive member of Granbury Baptist Church. She also was a member of the VFW Auxillary, DAV Auxillary, American Legion Auxillary and served as a VA volunteer. She enjoyed oil painting.
