Helen Manning, the most wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, October 31, 2016. She was 86 years old.

Helen was born in Johnson County, Georgia, the daughter of the late William C. and Annie Laura Snell. She was a devoted homemaker and rock of the entire family, faithfully serving her husband and raising her children to know and love God. Mrs. Manning was like a grandmother to all of her nieces and nephews, as well.

A longtime member of Christ United Methodist Church, she served in a prayer group and women's group. Helen's life reflected true Christian in service to anyone who needed her and she leaves behind this legacy with everyone she knew.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Beverly, Paul, Marvin, Pete, and Danny Snell.

Helen was survived by her husband of 69 years, John S. Manning, Jr.; daughters, Brenda Gail Wynens (Stan) and Vickie Lynn White (Bibb); grandsons, Bibb Graves White III and Dustin Garrett White; sister, Gerri Kitchens; niece, Kim Morgan; and nephews, Allen Kitchens, Jim Snell, David Kitchens, Michael Kitchens, Ken Snell, Eric Snell, and Stan Snell.
