Ms. Kitchens was born December 21, 1940, in Wrightsville, Georgia to the late William Childs Snell and Mrs. Annie Laura Foster Snell. She ran her own catering business for many years and was a sales representative for Avon. She also worked at Rivers Edge where she helped many children with special needs and remained a grandmother figure to them for many years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Jackie Blount Kitchens, brothers, Beverly, Paul, Marvin, Elliott and Danny Snell, and her sister Helen Manning.
She is survived by her three sons, Allen (Vann) Kitchens of Wrightsville, David (Debbie) Kitchens of Sandersville, and Michael (Susan) Kitchens of Wrightsville, brother-in-law John Simon Manning of Warner Robins, sisters-in-law, Idonia Snell, Ernestine (William) Hall, and Princene Bridges all of Wrightsville, grandchildren, Parker (Laura) Kitchens, Abe (Megan) Kitchens, Candace Kitchens, and Paige (Michael) Dyer, and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Ms. Kitchens will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 23, 2022, in the Richard N. Stanley Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
The family will be meeting at the home of Michael Kitchens, 1621 Tucker Grove Church Rd, Wrightsville, Georgia 31096.
