Jerome C. Clark, 87 years old, of Lomira, WI, passed on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Hope Nursing Home in Lomira, surrounded by his loving family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3rd at 3:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Lomira, with the Rev. Father Michael Peterson presiding. A visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3rd at the church from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Lomira.

Jerome was born on July 20, 1929, the son of Leon and Emma (Lehner) Clark in Mayville. He was a graduate of Mayville High School. Jerome was united in marriage to LaVerne Bauer on May 17, 1952 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in LeRoy, WI. Jerome and LaVerne farmed on his cousin's farm near Mayville; they then started farming on their own near Knowles until his health led him to quit. In November of 1966, the family moved to Waupun and Jerome started working at East Central Breeders. He worked his way up to laboratory manager. In 1980, East Central Breeders affiliated with Select Sires of Plain City, OH to form East Central Select Sires. Jerome was then transferred to Marysville, OH to work. In 1988, Jerome and LaVerne moved back to Sullivan, WI where he worked for Landmark Genetics (currently Alto Genetics) in Watertown. In 1992, he started his own custom collection business, "Clark's Custom Collection", until 1994 when he sold the business to Great Lakes Sire Service of Bronson, MI. Jerome and LaVerne then moved to Lomira to retire.

Jerome was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Lomira. Jerome loved fishing, hunting, and flying his radio controlled model airplanes.

Jerome is survived by: his daughter Jean (Jerry) Miller of Neosho; his sons Mark (Gail) Clark of Mayville, Tom (special friend Teisha Shaley) Clark of Waupun, and Patrick (Elizabeth) Clark of Thorneville, OH; his daughter-in-law Mary (fiancé Doug Bloch) Clark of Brownsville; 10 grandchildren Eric (Amy) Clark of Brownsville, Leon Clark of Waupun, Amanda (John) Kelnhofer of Oshkosh, Corey (fiancé Stacey) Clark of Lomira, Amber (Ryan) McMahon of Bonduel, Tyler Clark of South Korea, Brenda (Chris) Conley of Neosho, Joseph (Sara) Miller of Slinger, Andrea Clark of River Falls, and Katie Garcia of New Mexico; 10 great grandchildren Wyatt Clark, Mckayla & Paige Conley, Eloy Garcia, Boe & Rosie Miller, Adrienne &Alden McMahon, and Amary & Sharla Kelnhofer; sisters-in-law Anita Clark of Mayville, Mary Hoepner of West Bend, and Mary Jane Bauer of LeRoy; further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jerome is preceded in death by: his parents, his wife LaVerne in 2012, his sons Dennis & Larry, and his brothers James (Marcella) Clark, Richard Clark, Herbert (Leona) Clark, and Albert Clark. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary Church in Lomira or to one's choice. The family would like to thank Hope Nursing Home in Lomira for their wonderful care for Jerome.
