We are eager to share relatives with relatives, if you are researching your famliy who knows more about them than you. JUST USE THE EDIT TAB ON THE MEMORIAL when asking for the transfer. Failure to utilize the Edit Key may unnecessarily delay your request. We would much rather the memorial be maintained by someone related. Those who collect names just to keep their number count up don't get the point, their name is always on the memorial and can not be deleted nor will it be deducted from their memorials added totals if they transfer. So to hide behind we will follow policy for transfers only hurts the memorial they created. If they are researching families what greater honor than to connect family with family instead of just collecting names.
We do not post Obituaries, read Find Grave guidelines. Also posting of photos from the web, newspaper or funeral homes is in violation of copyright laws.
We also do not add information from records such as census. May add if rewritten in paragraph form at our discretion.
As much as we try to prove or disprove information, we can not guarantee that information provided for memorials is correct. Meaning this information is not usable as a primary source.
FYI: 1900 Census is NOT an accurate source for birth dates! Their use in cemetery records will mislead people.
Note: I do not wait 'weeks' or a 'month' to see if a relative might want to make an entry. First, I'm not a mind-reader and second, if I don't make the addition, another member will (and should).
