Born Nov. 10, 1910, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Lige Davis and Etta Shy Gritton.
He was a retired 26-year Army warrant officer and a member of Lawrence-burg Methodist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Disabled American Veterans.
He was the widower of Elizabeth Ann Davenport Gritton. '
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Iris June Ellecamp of Crofton, Mo.; a sister, Juan-ita Healey of Mercer County; and four step-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, Harrodsburg, by the Rev. Elgin Emmons. Burial with military rites will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
