He was a resident of Trenton for 20 years, an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the Masonic Lodge, and of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bamer and Eula York; son, Michael York.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Lucille York; daughter, Julie Weldon; son, Rickey York; brothers, James, Ira and Kenneth York; three grandchildren, Jada, Jordon and Kadance; nieces and nephews.
Funeral service: 2 p.m. today in the chapel with the Rev. A.C. Durham officiating.
Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
Visitation: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today.
