RICHLANDS VIRGINIA-- Pearlie Marie Sisk Shortt Rose, 91, died Monday, June 19, 2000, in a
Richlands Virginia hospital.

She was born 1909 in Buchanan County at VanDyke, Va. , a daughter of the late John Henry and Liddie
Davis Sisk, and was a member of Levisa Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Rose was also preceded in death by her first husband--George Shortt; and second husband Rev. John H. Rose; a son, Rondall Rose; two
daughters, Ortha Shortt Burke and Georgie Marie Shortt Baan; a grandson, Tommy Rose; and a brother, Charlie Sisk.

Surviving are five sons, Earl Shortt of Hampton, Va., Jennings Rose of
Wardell,Va., Howard Rose of Richlands Va., Buford Rose of Flint, Mich., and Robert Rose of
Raven, Va.; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph (Frances Allen) Webb of Jewell Ridge, Va.;
two brothers, James Parrott Sisk of Raven Va. and Oliver Sisk of Richlands Va.; three sisters,
Mrs. Jay (Goldie) Rose, Mrs. Ted (Ocie) Davis and Mariah Sisk, all of
Raven Va.;

Four daughters-in-law--Louise Shortt of Hampton Va., Mable Rose
of Wardell Va., Meril Rose of Richlands Va., Jeri Rose of Flint, Mich. and Jackie Rose of
Raven Va; and a special niece, Nancy Rose.

33 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; and several
great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 22, 2000, at 1 p.m. in Singleton Funeral
Service Chapel in Cedar Bluff. The Revs. Jessie Miller and Eddie Wilson will
officiate.

Burial will be in Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home where
a song service will be held at 7 p.m.

Singleton Funeral Service in Cedar Bluff is in charge of arrangements.
