Susan Achan Paul, 35 passes away May 9, 2015 at Dougherty Hospice House.
Susan Achan Paul was born in Yei, South Sudan in 1980. Her father was Paul Achire Morris and her mother was Christina Ngulete. Susan has three sisters and four brothers. She left behind 17 year old son and 8 year old daughter. She came to the USA on September 13th 1995 with her sister, Mary Aketo and brother-in-law, George Odoo.
Susan graduated from high school in Fargo, ND in 1998. She moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1998 and started work at John Morrell. Susan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2009. She struggled with the illness for a long time until she passed on May 9th 2015 at 3:45am.
Susan was a loving, caring, friendly, humble, sociable, hardworking, responsible person. She made lots of friends across racial, ethnic, national and tribal lines. She was a beautiful and kind human being who we all loved and will miss. Susan has left a big gap in our hearts that will never be filled.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:00am Saturday, May 16, 2015 at St. Joseph Cathedral 523 N. Duluth Avenue, Sioux Falls, SD 57104. Visitation will begin 1:00pm Friday at Heritage Funeral Home 4800 S. Minnesota Avenue, with family present from 6:00-8:00pm.
