January 1943 - Boxing Coach. ASHTON, Idaho, Jan. 9. Eastern Idaho's winter boxing campaign will make it's 1943 debut Saturday night when the Ashton and the St. Anthony high school boxing teams start throwing leather under the lights at the Ashton American Legion hall. Coached by Eliphet Hale, the Ashton team shapes up as a definite contender for the eastern Idaho ring title this year. Doyle Barrett and Fred Jones, co-captains of the Husky squad are veterans from last year when they copped belts in their respective weights. With the co-captains as a nucleus, and with a bevy of hard hitting satellites, Coach Hale hopes to build an outstanding glove aggregation this year. Assisting Coach Hale in training the Husky boxers is Barrett, senior letterman. -From the files of The Post-Register, an Idaho Falls, Idaho newspaper published Friday, January 8, 1943, Page 6.

November 1936 - Teachers Clinch Utah-Idaho Junior College Title With An Air Attack. BURLEY, Idaho, Nov. 26. The victory clinched the Utah-Idaho junior college championship. SCORES IN 4TH QUARTER.
