Ralph was the son of Henry K. (step-father) and Elizabeth (Learn) Livingston. (Ralph took his step-father's last name when his mother re-married) Ralph's original name is William Ralph Sensabaugh. My grandfather went by his middle name, Ralph, because he didn't like the name William. He was the husband of Anna Kniley.

Ralph's step-father ~ Henry K. Livingston ~ born June 25, 1852 in Pennsylvania ~ died in 1926. He adopted my grandfather, (William) Ralph in 1881 and gave him the last name of Livingston. Alice, his older sister, was also adopted & became a Livingston.

Ralph's biological father ~ Samuel Sensabaugh ~ born in 1850 & died in 1880 ~ married Elizabeth Learn ~ circa 1874. Had 2 children ~ Alice (Waugaman) Sensabaugh & William Ralph Sensabaugh. Son of Jacob Sensabaugh (1800 ~ 1860) & Elizabeth "Liz" Luke ( 1800 ~ unknown) ~ Ralph's biological Mother ~ Elizabeth Learn ~ born August 2, 1856 in Green Township, Pennsylvania. ~ died August 20, 1923 in Verona Allegheny, Pennsylvania. Ralph's sister ~ Clara Alice (Sensabaugh) Waugaman ~ born March 13, 1875 in Cookport, Green Twp. Indiana County, Pa. ~ died August 2, 1952 at the age of 77 in Columbia, Lancaster County, Pa. Alice was the wife of George Albert Waugaman.

Ralph was my maternal grandfather. He was a carpenter that built furniture for the Ocean Liners in the late 19th century and early 20th century. His occupation is listed as woodworker. Ralph fathered four children.

Ralph died from complications after an operation correcting a perforated ulcer. He left behind a wife, 15 year old daughter, Esther and his baby daughter, Ruth.

His 1st born son, Blair, died Feb. 14, 1980, from exposure when he wandered off in the New Jersey Vineland swamp and got lost. Ralph's 2nd son died in infancy.
