Herman H. Stoer, 73
, of 1814-29th St., Two Rivers, retired long-time employe
of Becker Mfg. Co. Foundry, Two Rivers, and prominent in affairs of St. John
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, died Monday night at his home after
an illness of several months.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John Lutheran Church, Two
Rivers, the Rev. T. F. Stern officiating. Burial will be in Pioneers' Rest
Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mr. Stoer was born in the Town of Two Rivers Feb. 22, 1888, son of the late
Joseph and Mary Goedjen Stoer. He attended the rural district school and St.
John Parochial School. After assisting his father on the farm he moved to Two
Rivers where for 47 years he was employed at the Becker firm foundry, retiring
seven years ago. He served a term of two years from 1956 to 1958 as supervisor
of the Third Ward in Two Rivers and for 12 years served as trustee of St. John
Lutheran congregation during which time he was its president for 11 years. He
was also a charter member of the Lutheran Men's Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Anna Jindra, whom he married at Mishicot
June 8, 1910; two sons, Kenneth, of Milwaukee and Leland, of Two Rivers; a
brother, Walter, of Rt. 1, Two Rivers; four sisters, Mrs. August Wage, of
Wautoma, Mrs. Arthur Levenhagen and Mrs. Werner Schmoock, of Mishicot and Mrs.
Ralph Schultz, of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; three grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Friends may call at Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, after 3 p.m.
Wednesday until 11 a.m. Thursday when the casket will be taken to the church
where the body will lie in state until the time of services.

Marriage of Herman Stoer & Anna Jindra

Miss Anna Jindra and Mr. Herman Stoer were united in marriage at the Mishicot Lutheran Church Wednesday. The wedding was celebrated at the Mishicot Opera House. Many from this city attended the wedding.
