Evelyn M. Hallock, 98, of Salina, passed away Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Presbyterian Manor. She was born June 21, 1918, to Ira and Bertha Stutzman in Ransom.
Evelyn attended Fort Hays State University and graduated from Kansas Wesleyan University. She was an elementary teacher in both Falun and Smolan. She was a member of University United Methodist Church and was well known for playing the organ and being in the choir.

Survivors are her daughters, Carolyn Wright, of Salina, and Joyce Jacob (Tom), of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Mary Louise Morehead, of California; grandchildren, Mandie Cain (Duane), Erin Keller, Scott Jacob (Christine) and Steve Jacob (Sarah); seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Rex; and sisters, Ruth Ritter and Frieda Atwater.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at Ryan Mortuary, Salina. Family will be present from 6-7:30.

A celebration of life will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29, at University United Methodist Church, Salina. A private interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to University United Methodist Church or Presbyterian Manor, in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth St., Salina 67401.
