Benson: Miss Lela Pearl Barefoot, age 83, of Benson died Monday at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be 11:00AM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Hollis Fedrick and Glenn McCullen. Burial will follow in Hodges Chapel Church Cemetery.
Miss Barefoot was born September 13, 1933 in Harnett County to the late Issac and Eula Sorrell Barefoot. She was also preceded in death by sister, Louise Tadlock; and brothers, J. W. Barefoot, Labell Barefoot, Linwood "Tink" Barefoot, Bob Barefoot, and Charlie Barefoot. Miss Barefoot was the office manager of McLamb's LP Gas and attended Coats Church of God.
Surviving include nieces, Donna Stephenson of Benson, Frances Wood of Erwin, Joyce Norris of Erwin, and Patsy Clark of Florida; nephew, David Tadlock of Erwin; several great nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
The family expresses their gratitude to the Agnes Baker family for their kindness over the years.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson from 6:00PM to 8:00PM Thursday.
