Sgt. Peggy L. Branson (Queen Bee), age 63, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, October 22, 2016. She lived in Knox County from her birth on February 18, 1953 until her death. She was a dedicated employee of the Knox County Sheriff's Department for 28 years. Peggy's love for animals, gardening, and flowers paled only in comparison to her love for her husband and her family.

Left to honor her memory and remember her love are her loving husband of 39 years, Sercy Branson; her four children, Joe, Elizabeth, Amanda, and Jennifer; 9 grandchildren, Michael, Cody, Austin, Pagie, Lydia, Rylee, Peyton, Ryan, Brittany, and Russell; her mother, Elizabeth Wrather; and brothers and sisters, Kenny, Charlie, Jay, Billy, Dennis, Martha, Becky, Jeff, and Darrell; several nieces and nephews and a host of lifelong friends from the Sheriff's Department.

Funeral service will be 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with Rev. Joe Strickland and Rev. Justin Pratt officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside services at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
